Frida Lindgren

Professional Show Jumping Rider and Coach

I grew up in Sweden, with the focus of my early years riding in pony and junior competitions. My parents owned a riding club and my job was to produce jumping ponies to high levels.

After graduating from business education and working in the banking sector for a time, I moved back to the horse industry, working for three and a half years with the exceptional Swedish rider Malin Baryard. During that time I had a lot of success on different young horses at international shows.

My Next destination was Ashford Farm, in Europe, training and producing horses for Enda Carrol, under the watchful eyes of Marlon Zanotelli and Angelica Augustsson. Here the focus was on producing and showing different horses to Grand Prix level.

With a position for Abdel Said I produced young horses, then after a time took on more of a coaching and managerial role with his vast amount of clients. Traveling to many competitions all around Europe I was teaching and supporting a lot of clients from different countries with many successes.

I was then engaged by Joe Clee and his new business Clee Equestrian to produce and compete horses at international level.

I really enjoy coaching riders, training and competing horses in Australia. I’m very motivated to be apart of the development of Australian Show Jumping. A big goal in the future is to take horses and students back to Europe to experience the sport over there.

Phillip Lever

5* Show Jumping Rider and Coach

Born into a very successful and highly regarded equestrian family meant growing up I was always surrounded by the sport of show jumping.

I moved to Europe in 2004 riding and competing horses at stables such as Gilbert Bockmann, Jessica Kurten, Jan Tops and Axel Verloy. I rode competitively and successfully in Nations Cups and Grand Prix’s all around Europe, one of my highlights was competing and placing at the 5* World Cup show in Leipzig.
I not only competed with a lot of good results. I also enjoyed having great success coaching riders to World championships including a gold medal in the JNR European Championships and competing at the Youth Olympic Games.

After spending fifteen years overseas I decided to come back home to Australia for new challenges. I am really excited with the new venture that Frida and I have started. Now we can focus on and be involved with the journey of young horses and riders here in Australia. The future looks bright!

What the students have to say…

  • Olivia Osborne

Since having regular lessons with Frida. I feel a lot more confident in my riding. The exercises with poles on the flat have helped immensely with my technique and striding when jumping. I feel extremely lucky to have the support of both Phil and Frida in training and at competitions.

  • Maddie Haugh

Training with Phil has provided me with a tool kit for riding both young and seasoned competition horses. His knowledge is endless and as a rider I always know he’s got my back no matter what happened in the competition ring. The team environment Phil and Frida have created is something i’m proud to be a part of and i’m grateful to be surrounded by such incredibly supportive people.

  • Strobe Knox

Phil and Frida have each been incredible mentors to me. I have had the opportunity to train under Phil for the past couple of years, and he has worked closely with both my horses and I to bring out the absolute best. He has motivated and inspired me as a rider and I hope to continue progressing as I have into the future with his guidance and knowledge behind me.
